The clinic is staffed by three physiotherapists and also has three sports massage therapists all qualified to the highest levels.

Each therapist is committed to a continuing education programme to enable them to deliver a relevant and up to date treatment protocol. This education programme is undertaken in-house and at conferences within the the UK and overseas.

STAFF & FACILIITES

Marta Czymbor – Physiotherapist

Marta Czymbor joined the clinic in 2024, bringing with her over 20 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy. She has worked in a variety of settings across the UK, developing a well-rounded and adaptable approach to patient care. Marta is known for her hands-on treatment style, using a range of manual techniques tailored to each individual’s needs. She takes pride in delivering effective, personalised care that helps patients recover, move better, and feel confident in their bodies. With a deep commitment to clinical excellence and patient wellbeing, Marta is a valuable part of the team and is passionate about helping people reach their goals—whether that’s returning to sport, work, or everyday life.

Stephen N Cannon  MCSP  

Chartered Physiotherapist

Steve qualified in 1980 from the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff and spent 10 years working within the NHS. He worked in various specialities including Orthopaedics, Intensive care, Rheumatology, Mental health and Paediatrics. At this time he also played rugby for Pontypridd RFC, Pontypool RFC and Cardiff RFC and held  the position as team Physiotherapist at Cardiff until 1990. In June 1990 DTR Clinic was established and he has worked at this facility since this date.

In 1994 Steve was honoured to accept the position of physiotherapist to the world famous Barbarians Rugby team and travelled extensively around the world with the team until hanging up his sponge in 2006.

Also in 1994 Steve was asked to be a member of the Physiotherapy team to look after the players on the Mens ATP Ttennis tour during which time he treated many of the then current world ranked tennis players including Boris Becker & Stefan Edberg. He worked at the French open in Paris in 1996.

Steve has also worked for the Welsh mens soccer team and at many Welsh Athletic events including ongoing treatment in the 1990s of athletes like Colin Jackson and Mark McCoy.

Today Steve continues to have strong links with local sportsmen as well as treating all of his patients at the DTR Clinic.

Deelan King – Clinic Director & Chiropractor

Deelan King is the Clinic Director at DTR Clinic, having taken over the practice in 2021. He qualified as a chiropractor in 2017 and has since worked across various clinics throughout South Wales and Bristol, gaining valuable experience and refining his skills. Throughout his career, Deelan has worked closely alongside physiotherapists, which has shaped his holistic and collaborative approach to patient care. He has a particular interest in managing sports-related injuries and is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love through structured rehabilitation programs. Deelan uses a wide range of techniques tailored to each individual, including soft tissue therapy, spinal and joint manipulation, dry needling, taping, and shockwave therapy. His goal is always to reduce pain, improve function, and support long-term recovery. Outside of the clinic, Deelan enjoys staying active himself—especially playing football and golf.
